Join TAP for its 2007 Christmas Dinner at Gonpachi! Pay here to secure your seat!
Dining at Gonpachi Beverly Hills is like stepping into a time machine
and travelling back to medieval Japan. The ambiance is spectacularly
traditional, as is the food. You experience
HAND-POUNDED soba noodles (made right before your eyes),
PERFECTLY GRILLED robata-style meats and vegetables,
plus a variety of AUTHENTIC appetizers and dishes that are
served just the way the samurai enjoyed them back in the days.
The 255-seater, one of the largest in LA, is a near-exact replica
of Gonpachi Tokyo, where Tarantino used to make the set for the famous fight scene
in the movie Kill Bill. To a less honorable note, Gonpachi Tokyo is
also the restaurant that former Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi took
President B*sh to, when the President requested to eat at a
popular, casual and authentic Japanese restaurant.
The restaurant offers Happy Hour from 5-7pm, so you might want to go there before
dinner time to sip some alcohol and enjoy its pretty zen garden.
